Migrating to Turnkey

Switch to Turnkey, and bring your wallets with you

Migrating wallet infrastructure shouldn’t mean starting all over again. Whether you're moving from Privy, Dynamic, Fireblocks, or your own in-house infra, Turnkey is built to make the transition straightforward for you and your users.

Migration without
changing keys or addresses

Users’ assets stay exactly where they are onchain. They keep the same keys and addresses, with better infrastructure underneath. Depending on your current setup, migration can happen entirely in the background or require a brief, one-time action from each user.

Two paths for importing keys

Non-custodial

Your users control their own keys

Users export their key or seed phrase from their current provider and import it directly into Turnkey through a secure embedded iframe hosted at import.turnkey.com.

Keys travel end-to-end encrypted directly to Turnkey's hardware enclaves and never pass through your servers.

Works out of the box with Privy, Dynamic, Fireblocks, and more.

Custodial

Your app or company
controls the keys

Migration can run as a backend script for setups where your application manages keys on behalf of users, or your company controls its own wallets.

Export keys programmatically from your existing provider and pass them directly to Turnkey’s server-side SDK or CLI.

Run the migration as users log in or batch it ahead of time.

From first import to go-live in minutes

Choose the user authentication methods

Turnkey supports direct migration from Privy, Dynamic, Fireblocks, and more. If you're on a custom or database-backed setup, we support that too.

Export your keys securely

For user-controlled wallets, users export their key or seed phrase through their current provider's export flow. For custodial setups, keys are pulled programmatically via your provider's API or Node SDK.

Import into Turnkey

Keys are imported directly into Turnkey's hardware enclaves through an end-to-end encrypted channel. No intermediate storage, no key written to disk.

Set up access controls

Each user gets their own isolated sub-organization with configurable wallets, authenticators, and signing policies. Delegated access, threshold requirements, and per-transaction rules are ready to configure from day one.

Go live

Run migrations just-in-time as users log in, or batch the entire migration ahead of time. Either way, your users keep their existing addresses and see no interruption.

Wallet Connector

Connect external Ethereum and Solana wallets for seamless login and transactions alongside Turnkey embedded wallets.

Droppp
A seamless migration with 100% uptime
“When Droppp’s previous wallet provider discontinued its services, Droppp migrated to Turnkey’s non-custodial infrastructure with zero user-facing downtime. Users retained uninterrupted access, and daily transactions and trading continued without disruption.”

Migrate at scale, switch without friction

Migrations built for scale from the start

Each user gets their own sub-organization, an isolated environment with its own wallets, authenticators, and access policies. Delegated access, threshold signing, per-transaction rules are all configurable right away, so you're not bolting on controls after the fact.

Turnkey makes switching easy, so you can get back to business

We maintain migration utilities, SDKs, and worked examples for the most common providers. And if your setup is more complex, our team is available to help scope the migration directly.
