Turnkey’s support of the BSSC’s Key Management Standard

Introducing The BSSC’s Key Management Standard
Today, the Blockchain Security Standards Council released four new security standards, including the Key Management Standard, edited by Turnkey’s own Mark Nesbitt, a leading expert in cryptocurrency security.
The release of these standards by the BSSC marks an important step forward in the maturity of blockchain and cryptocurrency. We’re hopeful they’ll serve as widely adopted benchmarks for security and trust across the industry. It’s been an honor to collaborate once again with many of our former colleagues from companies like Coinbase, Bitgo, and Kraken to establish guidelines for infrastructure security.
The Key Management Standard applies to any cryptographic key that can be used to participate in a state change on a blockchain. The standard covers the entire lifecycle of a key, from generation to retirement. Secure key management is core to what we do at Turnkey, and our focus on making it simple, flexible, and scalable puts us in a unique position to help shape this standard. We hope its publication and continued refinement enables faster experimentation and innovation across the ecosystem without compromising the safety and security of end users.
