Challenge: Abstracting private key and seed phrase management while maintaining security

Pass App wanted to lower the technical barriers to entry into crypto trading with a seamless and non-custodial wallet solution. Its key differentiator is providing access to AI-powered trading agents that empower users to execute onchain actions using natural language.

The problem? Private key and seed phrase management. Pass App’s team knew streamlining onchain actions via AI agents was only half the battle. To ensure the wallet solution was truly user-friendly upon launch, CEO Josh Ben-David turned his attention toward the most frustrating and risk-prone elements of web3: the user experience.

Having spent nearly a decade building wallet infrastructure from the ground up, Ben-David knew private keys and seed phrases were crucial to securing and recovering user funds.
