Like many modern crypto solutions targeted to legacy enterprises, Otim leans heavily on streamlined user experiences that absolve the complexities of blockchain technology. However, despite the platform’s highly intuitive, automated workflows, its technically demanding onboarding process continued to stifle adoption.

At the time, new users needed to register their accounts using their preferred external wallet provider, such as Metamask or Trust Wallet. And because Otim's target customers were often new entrants into the crypto space, this additional step quickly transformed into an unintended roadblock. 

As Founder and CEO, Julian Rachman puts it, "After seeing an influx of inquiries asking where our social or email-based login options were, we realized many of our new users won't necessarily have an existing wallet they want to onboard with."

Building on this feedback, Julian recognized that incorporating embedded wallets with streamlined onboarding flows was the next evolutionary step for Otim. Rather than creating this functionality in-house, Julian sought a wallet infrastructure solution that was:

With Turnkey, Otim transformed a fragmented and friction-heavy onboarding flow into a unified, seamless process that drives continuous enterprise adoption.

To ensure the partnership drove value from the onset, the Turnkey team worked directly with Julian, establishing Otim's organizational structure, defining control policies, and spearheading a new Rust library. 

“The team was particularly helpful in communicating how the platform is structured so we could hit the ground running,” Julian shares. "If we had attempted a similar build in-house, it would have easily taken multiple months, but we were live in under two weeks." 

Upon full integration, Julian's team immediately leveraged Turnkey’s API to spin up non-custodial wallets tied to user identities such as email and passkeys.

The impact didn't end at onboarding. With Turnkey's native, email-based recovery flows, Otim also eliminated the need for their users to manage a seed phrase upon account creation. This end-to-end approach enabled Otim to deliver a user experience that rivals the simplicity and familiarity of web2 fintech tools. 

But what cemented Julian's conviction in the partnership was Turnkey's comprehensive security architecture. 

Every critical action from key generation to transaction signing and policy enforcement, is isolated in Turnkey's secure enclaves, ensuring user assets and sensitive information remain untouched even in the event of a breach.
