Announcing Turnkey’s expanded support of BNB Chain and Tempo: Transaction management, gas sponsorship, and balances

Turnkey has added BNB Chain and Tempo to the chains it natively supports across transaction management, gas sponsorship, and real-time balances.
BNB Chain is one of the highest-volume EVM networks, home to a large ecosystem of DeFi, gaming, and consumer apps.
Tempo is a new payments-first Layer 1 incubated by Stripe and Paradigm, purpose-built for stablecoin payments. Supporting both chains extends Turnkey's wallet infrastructure to the teams building on each.
Until now, teams that wanted to operate on these chains could use Turnkey, but they had to assemble their own tooling for gas, broadcasts, transaction construction, and real-time balances. That meant extra integration work and more operational surface area to maintain. Bringing both chains into Turnkey's existing transaction management collapses that work into one integration.
BNB Chain and Tempo: What’s new and now available with Turnkey
Turnkey already provides full transaction management support for Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Solana and now that list includes BNB Chain and Tempo. Now transaction construction, nonce management, signing, broadcast, and status monitoring for these chains can all be handled through a single endpoint.
Turnkey has also made gas sponsorship available on both chains. With sponsorship enabled, your users do not need to hold native tokens to pay transaction fees because Turnkey now gives your team the ability to handle those fees for them.
That gives teams a more consistent way to build across chains. The same code and operational model you already use with Turnkey can now extend to these two new networks.
Expand to BNB Chain and Tempo with one configuration change
Extending to either chain comes down to updating a single parameter. There are no new SDKs to install, no new RPC providers to source, and no new broadcast logic to write.
That is a direct consequence of how Turnkey approaches multichain support. Rather than building chain-by-chain integrations, Turnkey's infrastructure is organized around cryptographic curves and a unified transaction API, so adding a chain is a configuration change rather than a new operations workflow.
For teams already live on Turnkey, BNB Chain and Tempo are now available without any tedious migration. You just point at a new chain identifier and your existing flows run.
Transaction management without the operational burden
A successful EVM transaction requires several steps: building the payload, setting the nonce, estimating gas and fees, signing, and broadcasting the transaction. Turnkey handles all of this.
Turnkey covers all kinds of EVM transactions, not only simple transfers. You can interact with smart contracts, deploy contracts, or execute any valid EVM operation. Broadcast logic is built to hold up under real network conditions, and Turnkey's fee estimation aims for cost-efficient inclusion even during congestion.
Gas sponsorship without the overhead
Gas sponsorship lets you cover transaction fees for your users so they can transact without first acquiring native tokens. Turnkey handles construction, signing, broadcast, and monitoring.
A single endpoint lets you choose between standard and sponsored transactions.
You can control sponsored gas spend in USD at two levels: one limit for the whole organization and one limit for each sub-organization. Set the amounts and time periods in the dashboard, then check current usage against the active limit.
Turnkey’s gas sponsorship contracts are open source and built in-house. They are designed to make sponsored transactions safer, more efficient, and less expensive to execute.
Real-time balances without building your own
Real-time balances give you a current view of what every address Turnkey secures holds on BNB Chain and Tempo, without standing up your own indexing or polling infrastructure. Turnkey provides two complementary tools: a Balances API for querying on demand, and balance webhooks for reacting to changes as they happen.
The Balances API gives you a simple way to see what an address holds on a given chain, and Balance webhooks keep your app updated automatically when funds move. Instead of constantly checking for changes, your app can receive updates when a balance changes and when that change is final.
This makes it easier to show accurate balances, track deposits, and keep customer-facing experiences current across BNB Chain and Tempo.
Policy enforcement on every transaction
Every transaction on BNB Chain and Tempo can be governed by Turnkey’s policy engine. Developers can write rules in Turnkey’s policy language to set transaction limits, restrict destinations, and define how a wallet is allowed to behave.
Turnkey runs key operations and policy enforcement inside Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), hardware-isolated environments that keep sensitive operations separate from the rest of the system. Because policy evaluation happens where signing happens, the controls you define are enforced at the point of signing, not only at the API layer.
Why Turnkey is focused on building support for these chains
BNB Chain's scale makes it a natural addition. Its ecosystem spans DeFi, gaming, and consumer applications, and supporting it widens the addressable market for embedded wallets, payment orchestration, and agentic wallet use cases to the teams building there.
Tempo extends Turnkey's reach into stablecoin payments specifically. As an EVM-compatible Layer 1 designed for payments, with stablecoin-denominated fees and high throughput, it pairs naturally with the payment orchestration and agentic use cases Turnkey already supports. Turnkey supports both Tempo Mainnet and the Tempo Moderato testnet.
Both additions follow the same principle: meet developers on the chains they are actually building on, without asking them to stitch together a separate stack to do it.

If you are already integrated with Turnkey, extending to either chain is a single parameter change. If you are new to Turnkey, the transaction management and balances documentation walks through construction, sponsorship, and policy setup end to end.
